I just rediscovered this game on my old tablet. Curious if there's still an active player base or if Epic's abandoned it. Worth getting back into? What's changed since launch?

Hate to break it to ya, but Battle Breakers is pretty much dead. Epic pulled the plug on it back in 2020. No active player base anymore. If you're looking for something similar, maybe check out Dragon Ball: The Breakers. It's got a small but steady playerbase of around 600 on Steam. Not huge, but at least it's still kicking.
