Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting Fortnite to work on my device. It was running fine until recently, but now it won't start or keeps crashing.

I've tried restarting my device and checking for updates, but nothing seems to help.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with Fortnite. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Server Status
First, make sure that the Fortnite servers are up and running. You can check the status on the Epic Games Status page or their official Twitter account.
2. Update the Game

Ensure that you have the latest version of Fortnite installed. Sometimes, issues arise from outdated game files. Check for updates in your game launcher (Epic Games Launcher, console store, etc.).

3. Verify Game Files
If you’re on PC, you can verify the integrity of the game files through the Epic Games Launcher:
Open the Epic Games Launcher.
Go to your Library.
Click on the three dots next to Fortnite and select “Verify.”

4. Check Your Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is crucial for Fortnite. Make sure your connection is stable and not experiencing any interruptions. You can try restarting your router or switching to a wired connection if you’re on Wi-Fi.

5. Update Drivers
Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can usually find the latest drivers on the manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, etc.).

6. Clear Cache
Clearing the cache can sometimes resolve issues:
On PC, you can clear the Epic Games Launcher cache by deleting the “webcache” folder located in
C:\Users$$YourUsername]\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved.

7. Reinstall the Game
If none of the above steps work, you might need to reinstall Fortnite. Uninstall the game and then download and install it again from the Epic Games Launcher or your console’s store.

8. Contact Support
If you’re still having issues, it might be best to contact Epic Games Support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps based on your situation.
I hope one of these solutions helps you get back into the game. Good luck! Feel free to adjust the answer based on your specific platform or any additional details you might have.
