Reviving the classic arcade feel, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, Shredder’s Revenge, is now available. It’s on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. 

You can team up with friends locally or online. Crossplay lets players from different consoles play together online. However, implementing crossplay can be challenging.

Regrettably, PS4 doesn’t allow crossplay, and neither does the Nintendo Switch for Shredder’s Revenge. Only Xbox and PC support crossplay. However, there’s no cross-progression, meaning save files can’t be transferred between Xbox and PC either.

PC and Xbox

Engaging in cooperative gameplay across diverse platforms to combat formidable adversaries like Tempestra within the realm of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge has been streamlined for seamless integration. 

The process entails activating the crossplay functionality through the Party Up interface accessible from the game’s main menu. This feature fosters interconnectivity among players irrespective of their gaming platform, enabling collaborative adventures to unfold without hindrance.

If you’re using the Game Pass version, it’s straightforward. However, if you’ve purchased the game from different PC stores, you may need to sign in to an Epic Games Store account for crossplay. 

Additionally, players on Xbox Series S/X won’t encounter any extra hurdles, as these newer consoles seamlessly run the Xbox One version of Shredder’s Revenge through backward compatibility.

PlayStation

Even though TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is fully accessible, the PlayStation 4 version is the least functional. It only supports local co-op for up to four players and lacks crossplay, restricting online multiplayer to other PlayStation users. 

Despite these limitations, the PlayStation 4 version of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge still provides an immersive gaming experience, staying true to the nostalgic essence of the classic arcade games. 

With its engaging gameplay and faithful recreation of the TMNT universe, players can still enjoy hours of entertainment battling against familiar foes and iconic villains.

While crossplay may not be available on this platform, the thrill of cooperative play and the satisfaction of defeating Shredder remain intact, making it a worthwhile choice for fans of the franchise.

Nevertheless, it’s still feasible to enjoy co-op with friends on a PS5 using the PS4 edition. This backward compatibility showcases PlayStation’s nearest approximation to crossplay in Shredder’s Revenge.

Nintendo Switch

Crossplay is available for players on Xbox and PC in Shredder’s Revenge, allowing them to connect and play together seamlessly. However, this feature is absent for Switch users, although they can still engage in local co-op with up to six players. 

There’s speculation that crossplay might be introduced later for Switch and PS4 users, but concrete plans for post-launch updates remain unclear. 

Despite the absence of crossplay, the inclusion of online multiplayer makes playing with friends more convenient than the traditional arcade experience. Currently, crossplay is exclusively accessible to players on Xbox and PC platforms.
