How to Rename Your In-Game Character?

If you only want to change your character’s name, you don’t need to alter the appearance. Just select ‘Done’ and enter your new name.

• Here is my character before changing his appearance.
• After opening the race menu, you’ll see my character looks paler.
• Here is my character after making changes.
• Here is my character after saving, exiting, and reloading the game.

Modifying Your Character’s Race

If you change your character’s race, your stats will change too. Each race in Skyrim has different strengths and weaknesses, shown by the different starting levels of various skills.

However, this isn’t what happens. Instead, changing your race may result in:

• Uneven Experience and Skill Levels: The game doesn’t automatically update your previous experience with the same skills. Your new skill levels won’t align with your old ones. The game might allocate all your experience to Destruction and Restoration instead.
• Losing Race-Specific Powers: Changing your race may cause you to lose the race-related power you began with, and it might not be applied to your new race.

How to Change Your Race with SetRace and SetPlayerRace?

Without using showracemenu, How can someone change your race ? You can use the console commands ‘setrace raceId’ or ‘setplayerrace raceId’.

However, this causes the game to lose track of your head texture. When you reload the game, your head will be missing!

Note: Note: Be careful with these settings because it’s easy to make your character look very different. (Unless that’s what you want.) Usually, adjusting by .2 or .3 is enough to get the effect you want.

Transforming Into a Non-Playable Character

In response to many requests, I’ve begun uploading screenshots of the slider settings for various Skyrim NPCs.

You can use these settings to make your character look like another game character (adjusting them as you wish), or, if you’re a PC gamer, use the plugins or save files I’ve created to play as one of these characters right away.
