The masterminds behind the acclaimed Half-Life remake Black Mesa are stepping into bold new territory. Crowbar Collective, in partnership with veteran publisher Team17, has unveiled their first original IP – a dystopian cooperative shooter called Rogue Point.

Corporate Warfare Meets Elite Combat

Set in a dark future where corporate warfare has reached its peak, Rogue Point spins a compelling narrative around the death of Earth’s wealthiest individual. In the power vacuum that follows, massive corporations unleash their private military forces in a desperate grab for control. Players step into the boots of an elite squad tasked with pushing back against these corporate armies.

Key Features

  • PvE-focused gameplay supporting up to 4 players
  • Diverse arsenal of weapons and tactical options
  • Multiple unique environments and battlegrounds
  • Regular community-driven updates planned

Community-First Development

Drawing from their experience with Black Mesa, Crowbar Collective emphasizes community involvement will be central to Rogue Point’s development. The game is set to launch on Steam in 2025, likely through Early Access – a model that served them well with their previous success.

“Our community played a vital role in shaping Black Mesa,” states Crowbar Collective. “With Team17’s support, we can focus on both development and community feedback to create something truly special.”

This partnership with Team17, known for publishing hits like Worms and Overcooked, signals high ambitions for the project. Fans of tactical shooters and cooperative gameplay should definitely keep Rogue Point on their radar as more details emerge in the coming months.
