After crossing a challenging path to Xbox certification, the Mediterranean-inspired souls-like Enotria: The Last Song will launch on Xbox Series X|S on December 12. Developer Jyamma Games confirmed the release date, marking the end of a complicated journey that began with the game’s initial launch on PC and PlayStation 5 in September.

A Unique Take on the Souls-like Genre

Enotria stands out in the crowded souls-like land with its distinctive Mediterranean folklore setting. Players step into the role of the Maskless One, a unique character who can break free from the world’s mysterious theatrical curse. The game introduces an innovative mask-switching combat system, allowing players to equip three different masks simultaneously, each granting specific abilities and advantages.

From Certification Struggles to Launch Success

The road to Xbox hasn’t been smooth for Jyamma Games. Earlier reports suggested Microsoft was creating obstacles in the certification process, potentially delaying the game’s release. However, the developer persevered, and Xbox players can now join the adventure that PC and PlayStation gamers have been enjoying since September.

The game tasks players with saving a world trapped in an endless performance, where inhabitants are bound by roles they can’t escape. As the Maskless One, players must master the art of mask-switching while getting through challenging combat encounters and exploring richly detailed environments inspired by Mediterranean culture.

Xbox Series X|S owners can mark their calendars for December 12 to experience this unique blend of souls-like combat and cultural storytelling. The game promises to deliver the same content and features as its PC and PlayStation 5 counterparts, ensuring platform parity across all versions.
