PAYDAY 3 Release Date Confirmed

PAYDAY 3 release date is confirmed for 2023. The month and day are TBD, but the much-awaited follow-up to the hit gaming series is coming.

The new title is coming after 2013’s PAYDAY 2 game, and it seems that the developers are making use of Unreal Engine, either 4 or 5. Development began in 2019.

Payday 3, created by Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios, is set to launch on PC and gaming consoles. Koch Media’s Prime Matter label will handle the title’s publishing.

Last year, Tobias Sjögren (Acting CEO of Starbreeze) announced an extended partnership they had arrived at with Koch Media, which involved collaborative production and global publishing

Apart from PAYDAY 3, a mobile game called PAYDAY Crime War has been announced, with a Closed Beta test for Android devices set to launch in December. Also, they have incorporated a 4v4 PvP mode.

The sequel will take place in New York City, with the city being rendered in an incredibly realistic way. An exciting new development for this game: media outlets have become aware of the gang’s exploits, so who knows what might come from that.

The game follows the gang some years after the sequel, where they left their criminal lifestyle behind them. This time around, the game has been set in the digital age, featuring software companies, cryptocurrencies, mass surveillance, and the Dark Web as part of the tools and challenges faced by the team.
