GSC Game World, the developers behind the highly anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, have released a gripping new promo video that puts Ukrainian music front and center. The trailer, set in the game’s eerie post-apocalyptic zone, features three tracks from homegrown artists, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the game’s atmosphere.
Soundtrack of the Zone
The promo spotlights three Ukrainian acts playing on the fictional “Prypiat’s Doom” radio station:
- “Energetik” by DK Energetik
- “Nadra” by synth wave outfit Kurs Valüt
- “OMG” by punk rock band Children of Engineers
The last track cleverly references three Kyiv metro stations: Obolon, Minskaya, and Heroes of the Dnieper, with their initials forming the song’s title.
Atmospheric Visuals
Alongside the music, the video treats viewers to haunting visuals that capture the game’s bleak and abandoned setting. The footage emphasizes the oppressive atmosphere players can expect when they venture into the Zone.
