So grab your sunflower seeds or sharpen your shovel because the battle for suburbia will get a beta-sized warm-up!

Is Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Crossplay?

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 does not support crossplay between different platforms. This means that players on Xbox One cannot play with or against players on PlayStation 4 or PC, and vice versa.

Each platform’s player base is separate and cannot interact in multiplayer matches together. Checking official sources or the game’s community for any updates or changes regarding crossplay support is recommended since policies can evolve.

Garden Warfare 2 BETA

The Garden Warfare 2 beta throws you into multi-mode mayhem! Dive into classic territory with the familiar Gardens & Graveyards (base capture) and a King of the Hill-inspired Flag of Power.

Or, for the truly adventurous, try out the brand new Herbal Assault mode. Four maps await your leafy (or undead) invasion, including the gravity-defying Moon Base Z for physics-bending fun.

In the upcoming beta, players can play six new character classes from Garden Warfare 2 for the first time.

Plant enthusiasts can choose from the blossoming Rose, the citrusy Citron, and the cob-slinging Kernel Corn. Meanwhile, zombie fans can test-drive the mischievous Imp, the brainy Super Brainz, and the swashbuckling Captain Deadbeard.

Players can explore Garden Warfare 2’s Backyard Battleground between matches, a new hub world that links all of the game’s maps and modes in a playful environment. EA mentions that Backyard Battleground hosts various dynamic events throughout the multiplayer beta.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is the next chapter in the wacky war between flora and fauna, sprouting from the seeds of a successful PopCap third-person shooter that blossomed on consoles and PCs back in 2014. This sequel promises to take the battle for suburbia to a new level.

Taking the quirky world of Plants vs. Zombies in a new direction, Garden Warfare sheds its predecessor’s strategic tower defense roots.

Instead, it throws players into a full-blown multiplayer shooter experience, with teams choosing either the plant or zombie side and battling it out for suburban supremacy.

The multiplayer beta for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will be accessible for download via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network beginning January 14th, with multiplayer sessions open until January 18th. Plants vs.
