Are you ready? The game developer Beenox has released a new video detailing PC preload times and specifications for minimum, recommended, and ultra 4K settings for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

With less than two weeks until the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC, Infinity Ward has released a new video highlighting the features fans can expect from the PC version of the title.

If you preordered Modern Warfare 2 digitally on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, you could preload the game to play immediately when the game officially releases. You can also preload the campaign early access version of the game if you want an earlier start.

Minimum Requirements & Preload Information

Preload for the game’s official release starts on October 26th at 10 AM PT, with the full version launching on October 27th at 9 PM PT.

For the minimum requirements, we recommend using an Intel i3 6100 processor or better, an Intel i5 2500k or better, an Intel Core i7 4770 or better, an Intel core i5 6600k or better, an Intel core i7 8700k or better, and up to 16 GB of memory. In addition, we recommend using a GeForce GTX 1070 or a better graphics card for competitive play. You can turn off the hi-rez cache if you prefer not to use it.

You need at least a minimum of 2GB video memory for 1080p resolution. If you want to play games at 1440p, you’ll need at least 4GB. For 4k gaming, you’ll need a minimum of 8GB. And if you’re playing ultra-high resolutions (e.g., 3840×2160), you’ll need at least 10GB.

Modern Warfare 2 will feature a unified security platform featuring new and existing mitigations to promote fairness. This is possible because the anti-cheat team has developed a system that works well enough to prevent cheating.
