About God of War Ragnarok
The game is an open world role-playing video game developed by Santa Monaca Studio for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the ninth main title in the God of War franchise and the second part of the trilogy following God of War.
The story takes place during the events of Ragnarök, the final battle between the gods and giants of Norse mythology, where Odin sacrifices himself to defeat the giant wolf Fenrir. In doing so, he allows the Midgard serpent Jormungand to escape into the mortal realm. While the game features a new setting, characters, and gameplay mechanics.
It was originally scheduled for an earlier launch date, but was later pushed back to 2022. However, when the coronavirus outbreak hit, it affected the developers’ ability to continue working on the project. As a result, they were forced to push back the game’s launch.
The gameplay of God of War is very much based upon Norse mythology. The story takes places where the gods of Olympus have fallen to Earth and are battling against each other. The protagonist of the game is Kratos, who is tasked with stopping the god Ares from destroying the world. During the course of the game, Kratos must travel through nine realms and defeat nine gods to stop Ares.
Each realm contains puzzles and challenges that help Kratos progress towards defeating the next boss. At the end of each realm, Kratos encounters an arena fight with one of these gods. These fights consist of combos and special moves performed by the characters, which may either damage or heal them. After completing the arenas, Kratos then proceeds to the final showdown with Ares himself. More About God of War Ragnarok.
